TERMS & CONDITIONS: These are detailed at the bottom of this page.
DISCOUNT: If I purchase a £70 gift voucher, or make a £70 deposit payment, do I still get the £30 discount?
No I am afraid not. The discount only applies when you pay the full discounted price in 1 transaction at the time of purchase.
UPGRADE: If I purchase a Static Line (SL) Course & Jump Voucher can the person I give the voucher to change to Tandem or another option?
Yes they can but they would need to pay the difference in price between the price paid for the discounted SL Course Voucher (not the full value of the SL Course) & the full undiscounted price of the Tandem or whatever option they wished to upgrade to.
RESCHEDLE OPTIONS: It is possible to reschedule individual bookings upto 10 days in advance of booked dates without penalty or charge, however if it is wished to reschedule within a period of 10 days in advance of booking a reschedule fee of £35 per person will apply. Group bookings need to give us 1 months notice or loose their group discount should they wish to reschedule within 1 month of the originally booked date. Should the jump not be possible on the day of the event due to adverse conditions there will be no penalty or charge to reschedule to another date, however this does not apply where individuals are not prepared to wait their turn to jump on any particular day when a £35 reschedule fee would apply were they to reschedule to a new date. A "No show" would result in the loss of the deposit - normerly £70, and the consequent loss of any applicable group discount that could result from the reduced numbers attending.
FILMING:
Whilst it is best to indicate a preference to us in advance you can arrange a video of a Tandem Skydive as late as the day of your course for a total cost of £99 (which gets you an edited DVD of your skydive, including pre jump footage, footage during the aircraft flight, footage of the skydive & where possible as a bonus footage of the landing. We sub-contract this service out to Phoenix Video Productions who can be contacted in advance by email at:
The way the video service works is that you pay ourselves, Skydive Academy Ltd, £44 (card or cash payment only) for the cameraflyer's parachute dropping flight up in the aircraft and you pay Phoenix Video Productions £55 (who do not accept a card payment) for the edited DVD should the video be of an acceptable standard. Should the video be of an unacceptable standard, as judged by ourselves & Phoenix, (of which less than 3% fall into that category and included in that 3% is less than 1% which fail to come out due to camera switch off in free fall, lens misting up etc) we would refund the £44 you paid us to get the cameraflyer in the air, however there would be no refund of the Tandem Fee, or provision by us, Skydive Academy Ltd, of a free 2nd Tandem experience should the video fail to come out.

The minimum age to parachute or skydive in the UK is 16 years of age, with 16 or 17 year olds requiring parental consent on both BPA form 106 as well as the appropriate declaration of fitness to parachute - forms can can be supplied upon request. Anyone aged 40yrs or older requires to have the appropriate form BPA Form 114-A (Solo) or BPA Form 115 (Tandem) signed by a Dr. In certain circumstances we might encourage such individuals to consider a Tandem for their 1st jump rather than a solo, more likely once they attain 50yrs, and no one over 55yrs will be allowed to make a 1st solo parachute descent

- Fitness to Parachute & British Parachute Association (BPA) Forms. Whilst it need not be sent with the Application applicants must present a completed Declaration of Fitness prior to training. Those unable to satisfy the requirements of BPA Form 114-A (such as the disabled) may still be able to undertake a Tandem & should refer to BPA Form 115. All Declarations must be signed by a witness; for 16 & 17 year olds the witness must be their parent or guardian who must also sign a completed membership agreement (BPA Form 106 obtainable on request from/at the Parachute Centre), for those 40+ a Doctor must certify the Declaration. Those aged 50 years or older of no previous parachuting experience are normally restricted to undertaking a Tandem as their 1st jump. Whilst the majority of our parachutes have a maximum suspended weight limit of 280lbs (including clothing & equipment) we draw applicants' attention to the information regarding weight & height on the rear of this sheet.
- Operating Hours & Conditions. Our Licence to operate is from 0830-2030hrs during daylight. The Parachute Centre will routinely open on Weekends, Public Holidays, and given suitable weather conditions on some mid week days; predominantly Wednesday afternoons & Friday afternoons for continuation parachuting from 1300hrs during British Summer Time. We will normally close for 3 weeks over the Christmas/New Year period. The Centre also opens at other times at the Operator's discretion, such as in summer for week long AFF Courses.
- Scheduling of Training and Jumping. Whilst training courses may be booked in advance individuals must have completed the appropriate training & be present at the Parachute Centre to register for a jump. No guarantee or promise is made that a jump can be made immediately upon completion of the training phase. Should weather, light, time or other factors preclude the jump taking place individuals should make every effort to return to undertake their jumps during the Centre's next advertised operating hours when conditions will allow it. A whole good weather day should be set aside to jump. A queuing system will operate with those trainees registering 1st on any day being the 1st trainees to jump that day. Revision training is normally required prior to jumping on any day. Solo revision sessions are normally scheduled for 0930hrs on Sat/Sun/BH Mons & at 1330hrs on Wed/Fri afternoons. Revision Training will be provided free of charge until 3 months have elapsed since last training, or until 12 months have elapsed since the initial training course was taken, whichever the sooner. Thereafter the full course syllabus will have to be retaken, normally on the next scheduled course date (usually a Saturday @ 0830hrs) for which a fee of £70.00 will be charged for RAPS/Tandem & £120.00 for AFF until 12 months have elapsed since the initial training course. After 12 months the full fee in place at that time will apply.

The written advice of a Doctor is required in respect of prescribed drugs. Those intending to parachute should allow 10 hrs and a full night's sleep since the last alcoholic drink. No smoking is permitted within the Parachute Centre Building, or within the proximity of any parachute equipment or aircraft, including the Apron to the front of the Hangar.
- Cars Children & Dogs. No liability is accepted for any cars or visitors entering the airfield boundaries. Aircraft with turning propellers & parachutists descending under fast canopies traffic the area & present a danger. If aircraft or parachuting equipment is tampered with fatal consequences could result. Accordingly members of the public are not allowed in the Hangar or on the Apron. Children must be supervised at all times. Dogs, excepting guide dogs, are not allowed within the buildings or on the active areas of the airfield.
