The course fee includes the price of the initial days ground school training (normally £235 if purchased separately) plus the 1st 5 SL jumps (normally £42ea if purchased separately) and is targetted at 2 stable exits followed by 3 stable exits pulling a dummy ripcord handle, with the 1st free fall jump (being it the 6th or a subsequent jump) being free of charge. Should the 1st free fall jump not be the 6th jump an additional SL jump or jumps would have to be purchased before the free 1st free fall could be undertaken. The course fee also includes either temporary 1 month (unlimited jumping) or provisional 12 month (SL jumps only) British Parachute Association Membership which affords a 3rd party insurance.

Progression to Free Fall Package By purchasing this product the individual will attend a full days training, normally on the 1st Saturday of the month, followed by jumps on subsequent opening days (i.e. the immediately following Sunday, subsequent weekends or during British Summer Time on Wednesday & Friday afternoons or Bank Holiday Mondays). The course fee includes the price of the initial days ground school training (normally £235 if purchased separately) plus the 1st 5 SL jumps (normally £42ea if purchased separately) and is targetted at 2 stable exits followed by 3 stable exits pulling a dummy ripcord handle, with the 1st free fall jump (being it the 6th or a subsequent jump) being free of charge. Should the 1st free fall jump not be the 6th jump an additional SL jump or jumps would have to be purchased before the free 1st free fall could be undertaken. The course fee also includes either temporary 1 month (unlimited jumping) or provisional 12 month (SL jumps only) British Parachute Association Membership which affords a 3rd party insurance. Should either membership lapse, or the provisonal member progress to free fall, conversion to full BPA membership would be required at a reducing rate from £125.00 in April to £42.84 the following February; these prices are illustrated for the BPA year 1 April 2009 - 31 March 2010. Should parachute students attend the centre within a 3 month period of last attending there will be no charge for any revision training or RAPS progression briefs. Parachute Students who exceed the 3 month limit but not yet 12 months from the original ground school date will have to cover the full sylabus again for which a fee of £50 is payable, those exceeding 12 months from the original ground school date will have to pay the full basic ground school course fee again at the full price in place at that time. The Category System SL course requires a minimum of 6 hours instruction. Courses normally last a full day allowing for coffee, lunch & tea breaks and normally take place on the 1st Saturday of each month barring January, although other dates can be arranged for group bookings, with the jump normally taking place the next day weather permitting. Occasionally during the lighter summer evenings jumps may be undertaken on the day of the course. All parachutes used by Skydive Academy are of the Ram Air design & all reserves are fitted with automatic opening devices. Parachutes of the Round (Surplus Military) Type are no longer used by us. "Participants must meet the criteria outlined in BPA Form 114 A - Solo. Purchasers should note whilst this product may be transferrable up until commencement of the course it is non-refundable, once training has been commenced the activity is non transferable as well as non refundable".
